Mr. Theis is Medata’s Senior Vice President, responsible for managing the sales and business development functions of the business. Mr. Theis began his career as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual Insurance in Los Angeles. Since commencing his career in the workers’ compensation industry, Mr. Theis has played a role in the management and revenue growth of some of the largest, as well as some of the smaller, but fastest growing, companies in the industry, including Genex, Corvel, CCN and MCMC.

Mr. Eric Fritz, Chief Information Officer
Mr. Fritz is a 20-year veteran in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, and Software Development, including 11 years of experience in the Workers Compensation and health care marketplace. Previously, he was Vice President of Technology at Mitchell International, Director of Solutions Delivery for Fair Isaac Corporation, and Chief Technical Engineer at HNC Insurance Solutions. In these roles, Mr. Fritz was responsible for application integration and implementation, facilities, Professional Services and Customer Support, and played an instrumental role in application and technology architecture for the SmartAdvisor Bill Review platform. Similarly, he was responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of the division's ASP product hosting environment, growing usage of the offering to support over 60% of the customer base. With a broad experience base in both Windows and *nix platforms and OS, and including application development experience in a variety of high- and low- level languages, Mr. Fritz has previously served in engineering roles with NCR, AT&T, and Microsoft. |
Mr. Tom Herndon, Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Herndon joins Medata as Vice President of Operations. He directs the company’s operations, and plays an instrumental role in the company’s growth and profitability. Mr. Herndon has a background of more than 11 years in Insurance/Healthcare and Technology, including several executive positions within this industry. Most recently Mr. Herndon held the position of Vice President of Product Delivery at Mitchell International. His responsibilities included Regulatory/Compliance, Research, Business Analysis/Product Management, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Product Delivery, Project Management and Product Support. Previously, Mr. Herndon directed the Product Development for the healthcare and insurance business unit of Fair Isaac Corporation where he held the position of Director, Product Development. His responsibilities included Fee Schedule, PPO and Main Application Development and Delivery. Prior to his work within the Insurance/Healthcare industry he Worked for Odetics as an ISO 9000 Quality Manager and Kodak as an Account Executive. Mr. Herndon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from California State University, Long Beach. |
Ms. Tori Henson, Vice President, Marketing
Ms. Henson, Vice President of Marketing, brings over 15 years of sales and marketing experience to Medata’s executive team. She began her career in workers’ compensation medical bill review in 1992, responsible for national sales and marketing at a major competitor to Medata. Ms. Henson was a stockholder responsible for sales and marketing of a $22M (revenue) medical bill review company (DHS) which was sold to Fair Isaac in 2003. She was VP of Marketing for 3 insurance products at Fair Isaac before taking time off. She came out of retirement to enjoy the adventure of working at another growth company with a great history in the market. |
Mr. Bryan Lowe, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lowe joined Medata as its Chief Financial Officer in October 2001. Mr. Lowe graduated from California State University of Fullerton in January 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting, and in August 2001 earned the Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University. He entered private practice as a CPA immediately following his graduation in 1985, and became a partner at the same firm in January 1990. He left the partnership to pursue the opportunity with Medata in October 2001. Throughout his years in private practice, Mr. Lowe worked with Medata as their business consultant, tax preparer, and auditor.
