Medata would like to express its gratitude for the tenure of our Medical Director, David Deitz, MD, PhD who has served our Utilization Review Department since its inception. Dr. Deitz will be retiring from this position beginning November 1^st, 2023.

Dr. Deitz has proven invaluable as an important member of our management team guiding and directing our efforts in delivering a quality utilization review program. His guidance provided to our clinical and operational staff with his oversight of clinical decision-making aspects of the program has allowed Medata to grow in many areas.

It is with great enthusiasm we introduce our new Medical Director, Zenia Cortes, MD QME, AME, IME who brings a wealth of knowledge in the workers’ compensation arena as well as experience with evidence-based medical guidelines (nationally recognized standards of health care), utilization management, quality improvement and other medical management functions. Dr. Cortes is Board Certified American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, General Orthopedics, specializing in Foot & Ankle Reconstruction, and Sports Medicine.
