Human Resources Manager

The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for recommending, and executing local human capital strategies, processes and solutions of multi business locals. This is a highly dynamic role that requires superior business acumen combined with Human Resource competencies in all facets, include deployment of corporate HR policies and procedures, HR resources training and development, recruitment and retention, compensation, performance management, employee relations, workers compensation, and employment law and compliance. In this hands-on role, the HR manager will partner with operations leadership.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Assists the operational staff with day-to-day management of the Human Resources initiatives and ensures that all employees receive top notch customer service while promoting a “business partner” culture
  • Partners closely with the upper echelons of Medata to ensure alignment with corporate initiatives
  • Oversee all local business unit governance and compliance with EEOC, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and all state/federal required training
  • Oversee the on and off boarding of employees
  • Assist in compensation program / pay plan(s) compliance and implementation for all sites to ensure reward programs are competitive; responsible for the delivery of compensation programs to leverage the organization’s ability to attract and retain top-notch talent
  • Serves as a coach and confidant to supervisors by assisting and advising to ensure their approach aligns with the evolving corporate strategy
  • Responsible for all employee relations matters, recommends new approaches, policies and procedures that effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of Human Resources
  • Works cross-functionally and collaboratively to rebrand Human Resources as a value added business function


  • A minimum education level of a Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in all functional areas
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in working Employee Relations matters of all sorts
  • Strong knowledge of government, federal, and local laws that affect HR policies and procedures, and other regulatory and compliance laws
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced work environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to forge strong, trusting relationships with management, direct reports, and teams
  • Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented are a must
  • Ability to think strategically and develop, innovative, and creative solutions to non-routine matters
  • Ability to provide oversight to numerous business areas and projects simultaneously
  • Strong internal/external employee focus; comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify issues, and develop appropriate solutions


  • Advance degree in Human Resources or Business
  • PHR Certification
